Spells Table

The Spells Table lists all available spells in D&D Fifth Edition as of most recent site update (see here for Last Updated date). Spells are described as they are in the sourcebooks, with the same information in the same order. Some spell information may be hidden depending on your browser screen size; click the ‘+’ icons on the left of each spell to expand spell details and see any information that may be hidden.

Search filters:

1. If you want to filter by certain fields, use github-style tags – that is, the name of the field with a colon followed by a modifier. The fields that support this are: ritual, concentration, verbal, somatic, material, or royalty. Search modifiers for these fields are a yes or no after the colon. E.g. ritual:yes, concentration:no somatic:no, or verbal:no royalty:yes.

2. Additionally, it is possible to search on three more hidden variables: whether a spell requires sight, what a spell’s damage type is, and what type of saving throw a spell requires. These are searched through the keywords requiressight, damagetype, and savingthrow. Search modifiers for requiressight can be yes or no. Modifiers for damagetype can be any one of the official damage types of the game, e.g. bludgeoning. Modifiers for savingthrow can be any one of the six ability scores. E.g. requiressight:yes damagetype:cold savingthrow:constitution.

No longer searchable:

1. The Spell Description and At Higher Levels fields are not searchable. Having this enabled slows down the search function immensely.

2. The Subclasses field no longer allows searching by the class name of subclasses (e.g. cleric in “Cleric (Tempest)”). Please search for the subclass name instead. This is so searching for the class name will not bring up all subclass expanded spells; search the subclass name for those instead. E.g. search tempest for “Cleric (Tempest)”.
